As many of you saw from our first scrimmage last week, Quick Recall is a definite strength and passion for some kids, while other students prefer to show what they know through written assessments. The Governor’s Cup Competition on February 21st and February 25th (With different events on different days) requires students to compete in different subject areas. Since practice started in September, we have used the Quick Recall “style” to make it fun to participate even though in real competitions only 4 students can compete at one time. Before Christmas, we had the students rank what they felt their strengths were in order to assign them to different areas of the competition. It worked out that everyone got one of their top choices! The following assignments have been made for District/Governor’s Cup Competition:
Tuesday, February 21st (Future Problem Solving and Composition)
The following students will be competing in Composition/On-demand Writing (This competition will be at Huntertown Elementary on Tuesday, February 21st after school. As soon as the Huntertown Coach gives us specifics, we will pass those on to you.)
